If you’re wanting to explore the nearby Daintree Rainforest and have a keen interest in local produce, make sure to visit the Mossman Markets run every Saturday. Under the canopy of ancient giant rain trees and in the gardens of the historic St. David’s Anglican Church, the markets are the perfect place to meet locals who have been farming and living the region for generations. At the markets you’ll find a wide variety of locally grown and made goods, including giant exotic fruits, kitschy handmade tea towels and aprons, and the best country-baked sweet cakes and slices.
